Maintain and manage the campus chilled water operations to include start/stop and performance sequences based on daily demand. Provide necessary responses to diagnose customer issues with HVAC systems, analyze the system requirements, test controls components, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure that set points, schedules and sequences of operations are correctly programmed within the EMS and that graphics are up to date. Maintain an inventory of EMS system controllers, parts etc.
Determine HVAC equipment needs and implement the necessary corrective actions. Act as a technical resource to campus customers and the EMS Energy System Specialists. Troubleshoot possible issues with building HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment using sequence of operations and specific control logic. Arrange repairs with the EMS using campus contracts to ensure the system is running in a reliable, efficient manner. Work with the EMS utilizing open protocols including Lonworks and BACnet. Monitor and maintain the EMS for the campus. Manage and oversee the EMS (Energy Management System) Energy System Specialists group to include daily work assignment, timesheet approvals, annual leave approval and yearly evaluations.
